Because preserving our planet is everyone's business, Cosy Hôtels has joined forces with the associations Echo Mer and Surfrider Foundation Europe to work together to protect the ocean. By staying at one of our hotels in La Rochelle between 16 and 18 February, you too can make a contribution to this worthy cause*.
Following in the footsteps of the "La Rochelle Territoire Zéro Carbone" (Zero Carbon Territory) initiative for 2040, Cosy Hôtels has long been committed to sustainable development through a series of actions contributing to the protection of the environment. The Echo Mer association has also been taking virtuous initiatives for over 20 years. With a hundred or so members and having dropped anchor facing the ocean, it defends the collective interest in preserving the seabed and the blue waves from the excesses of mankind. Recycling 'marine' materials to promote the circular economy, running educational workshops and activities such as collecting rubbish in ports to raise awareness of the need for solidarity - all these actions, led by founder David Baulieu and the volunteers around him, make Echo Mer a major player in this cause in our maritime city.
One of our employees is a member of the Surfrider Foundation's volunteer branch in La Rochelle, so it was only natural that Cosy Hôtels wanted to become a partner of this association too. Their missions include collecting cigarette butts, organising awareness-raising workshops and screenings and debates... Not forgetting the waste collections part of their 'Initiatives océanes' programme. In fact, we organised one in April 2022 to unite our teams and make them even more aware of the need to protect our beaches and our beautiful environment.
So, to thank them for their raison d'être and encourage their actions, Cosy Hôtels will donate 15% of all stays booked directly at our hotels between Friday 16 and Sunday 18 February to these two associations.
*15% of the cost of your stay over the Valentine's Day weekend (between 16 and 18 February inclusive) will be donated to Echo Mer and Surfrider Foundation France, two associations dedicated to protecting nature.
